Though of course change is constant in all of our lives, recent changes in our world and in our workforce can make it difficult to stay motivated and maintain focus. We offer the recording this webinar, originally shared live on Thursday, August 27, 2020, to those in our marketing community and elsewhere who have recently experienced job loss, or those those who are seeking a career transition, and also to those who are getting back into the workforce after spending some time away. We hope that it helps you stay motivated in your job search, too.

Think about where you are on the emotional guidance scale. Kori mentions Esther Hicks and the teachings of Abraham, and the law of attraction.
She also shared the emotional guidance scale, where you can see your emotional place in a visual way, and work to 'rise' on the scale toward the top, where positive elements like joy and appreciation appear.
Kori also spoke of some tips to move up the scale.
Develop a gratitude practice. Kori shared how you might say something positive before a job interview, and express how you're grateful for the process and possibilities that you're experiencing.
Do more things that bring you joy - whether that means a nature hike, creative writing, or time with a loved one or pet.
Pay it forward - like writing a positive LinkedIn recommendation for a past colleague.
Type and print out a list of your accomplishments - personal and professional things that will remind you of how amazing you really are.
Remember to be kind to yourself. Job searches are temporary, and this is a time of growth.
Each no is taking you one step closer to a yes that will change things for the better. Tell yourself a more positive story to keep yourself going.
...and if you have forgotten why, take some time to think about it. It may be financially driven, but what else are you doing this for? Is for family? To serve others? For professional growth? To build something new? To help the planet? Get back to your why. As Simon Sinek reminds us, you might even want to start with why.
Kori also spoke about setting a schedule for yourself if you're job searching. It can help to have each day of the week dedicated to a certain part of your efforts. For example, she mentioned using a calendar to concentrate on:
The possibilities are many, but find some structure and set up a schedule to stay focused.
She also shared lots of ideas on self care around good sleep, eating, and movement. Remind yourself to take breaks or add them to your schedule and take them.
You may also want to make your home office environment more zen, inviting, calming, or happy.
It's also a good idea to create and write down, journal, and print out positive mantras, sayings that will affirm your intentions and your well being and to help you "raise your vibrations," as Kori says. Post them around your workspace so you are reminded of the positive things in your life.
