BMA Colorado Recognizes Top B2B Marketers at the 2017 Gold Key Awards
BMA Colorado hosted its XXIVK Gold Key Awards Gala on Friday, May 5, at the McNichols Building. Two hundred of Colorado’s top B2B marketers enjoyed small plates from Relish Catering and Events, wine from local winery Infinite Monkey Theorem, and craft beer from local brewery Crazy Mountain. Gates Corp. created the 24K-gold themed celebration, which included virtual reality stations, Shutter Booth’s photo booth, along with DJ Erin Stereo.
Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock made a guest appearance and was presented BMA Colorado’s Marketing Maverick award for his contributions as Denver’s 45th mayor: eliminating the city’s budget deficit, fostering a diverse economy and restoring much-needed services that were lost during the recession. BMA Colorado also honored industry veteran Ken Custer, long-time publisher of The Review (formerly Advertising and Marketing Review), with its Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedicated service to the Denver marketing community.
BMA Colorado also recognized Greg Olsen as the 2017 BMA Colorado Marketer of the Year. A published author, Olson, the founder of GROWL Agency, has dedicated countless hours to BMA, both locally and nationally. Dawn-Marie Kerper was presented the 2017 President’s Award by BMA Colorado’s out-going president, Kelly Snyder of 90octane. Kerper, an executive consultant with Leopard, received the award in recognition for her outstanding service as co-chair for the chapter’s annual regional event: recruiting speakers, handling the budget, and working with the conference team to ensure a world-class regional event for the B2B marketing community.
